If You Love Luxury Minimalism, Then You Will Love Everything About This Home
Known for combining old school elegance with modern flair, Kelly Hoppen has transformed homes all over the world. Born and based in London, Kelly’s designs use simple colour palettes, symmetrical design features, and a love of geometric shapes.
She’s got quite the resume, designing everything from homes to offices to hotels to planes. Plus, she has worked with our fashion idol, Victoria Beckham.
Below is her work for a private residence in London. This place has got to be one of our favourite spaces at the moment.
Kelly has said that she gets most of the inspiration for her designs through experience, specifically travel. Her work combines pieces from all over the world. The amazing part about her spaces, as you will see below, is how there is never a feeling of “too much”. The diversity in each space tends to have a theme that ties it together. This could be through colour, tones, or even pieces with similar patterns and shapes.
The hallway design showcases Kelly’s ability to create simplistic elegance.
Though the space is set with stark white walls, the warm hardwood flooring and large black and white artwork help to create a welcoming ambiance .
In the kitchen and living rooms, Kelly uses herringbone floor pattern to help vitalize the stark details of the rest of the space.
This gold lamp in the living room livens up the otherwise monotonous colour palette in the room.
With exception to the lamp, every piece in this space is so simple on its own, yet when combined, the design becomes full of depth and character.
The details of the ensuite are breathtaking. Using a simple palette of marble, white and greige, Kelly knocked this space out of the park! Extra credit for that gorgeous marble slab with LED lights.
