The perfect blend of an outdoorsy ambience and burst of elegance, the stunning modern residence brings modern luxury in the backdrop of natural charm — and is hands-down one of our current favourite designs.

This treehouse is a private residence located in the suburbs of Toronto, designed by the very skilled TACT Design. They have showcased their innovation and creativity in every nook and cranny of the house, making it nothing short of a luxurious dream.

Let’s dive into the details of the home, discovering what makes it stand out amongst other Toronto luxury homes.

The Enchanting Exterior

A single glance at the exterior of this private residence will have you entranced. It looks like a contemporary take of a treehouse, creating the perfect balance between traditional and modern aesthetics.

The facade of the house has the appearance of horizontal wooden panels, borrowing the essence of a real treehouse. The rest of the front is very minimalist in design. In addition to balancing things out, this allows the wooden panels to create their statement without overwhelming the overall look.

The rear of the house features massive windows, allowing plenty of natural light to make its way into the home without hindrance. With clean lines, simplicity, and minimalism, this area of the residence reflects Scandinavian style in its true spirit. Ultra-chic and sleek is what it is!

And such a striking exterior would definitely give you the urge to walk in and marvel at its interior — So, let’s get to it!

The Iconic Interior

Evidently, the focal point of the interior is the large windows present in almost every room of the house. The windows on the second floor deserve a special mention; they provide wrap-around vistas of nature, greenery, and bright light. One would really believe they’re in a forest with the views of all those trees — all while residing in a suburb of Toronto.

The living room proceeds to maintain the minimalism of the design, featuring a comfortable beige three-seater. The dark-grey cushions add in a touch of bold colour, and a black leather ottoman increases seating space while enhancing the ambience.

The entertainment center comprises a solid block of wood, perfectly bringing in a touch of nature. A panel of wood slides across the television, hiding it when needed; TACT Design has incorporated versatility to the space in subtle ways!

The usage of two identical coffee tables instead of one central piece makes the space unique, while the stunning wall art and shiny gold lamp complement the ambience perfectly.

TACT Design also showcases its talent in interior design in the kitchen. Sleek cabinetry, stainless steel kitchen hood, porcelain counters, and matching slab backsplash just begin to explain the features of its elegant design.

The kitchen island and rustic table both make use of wood. This pairs amazingly with the all-white interior of the kitchen, maintaining the feeling of a treehouse while keeping it modern.

Additionally, the chairs feature an interesting twisted pattern, and a transparent vase of beautiful flowers provides just the pop of colour this space needs! Finally, the chandelier hanging from above illuminates the room and also plays its part in task lighting (for folks eating at the table).

Proceeding to the dining area, TACT Design used a rustic table made of wood, paired with decent white armchairs. A punch of colour is added to this space through the artwork hung on the wall; its hues of blue uplift the overall design of the area.
